Soldering is one of the most basic skills in making electronics. It it incredibly usefull (from fixing a simple cable or connector to buildig complex analog amplifiers) It has many applications.
We have a couple of learn how to solder kits (that make blinky light badges) and 3-4 soldering irons ...
if you want to know how to solder, drop by and ask, we will teach you, it will take 15-20 minutes and you will have a usefull skill for the rest of your life
