the housing situation[edit]
- Update
- officially our countract ends Dec. 31 2018
- we don't have formal confirmations for prolongations
- call to all: follow up on it if you see something interesting
- if the building is deemed safe, we had a spoken commitment that we can stay here
- if the building is deemed unsafe, we had a spoken commitment that we can store our material here
- bought by SAU (region) http://www.sau-msi.brussels/en
- they look to subrent it to one group
- ... who sublets to other artists and creatives
- ... who have one open day/evening where everyone is welcome
- call for projects will be in December, deadline in March.
- they look to subrent it to one group
- officially our countract ends Dec. 31 2018
- strategy
- every creative project currently present can apply
- Nino is in contact with vzw Toestand
- if we do it, it should be a separate vzw with board members that are not in the HSBXL vzw
- could also be a new vzw with every other vzw as a separate member
- Wouter, Tom, Stephan will find people in the building to check if we can get interested in the bigger vzw
activities organisation[edit]
- Betz makes a byteweek wiki page - everybody adds his events on this page during this week.
- Wouter: Soldering workshop
- Johnny: will do a Lua workshop
- Askarel: LDAP workshop (deadline: byteweek)
- Betz: workshop on continuous integration and versioning
- Vincent: workshop on Selenium and interacting with websites like Meetup and Facebook
- Bolwerk: 2nd and 3rd session of install party V2 (streamer and pirate radio station)
- /techotsukumogami
- ooooo / boat project
- for the trajectory - http://annuel2.framapad.org/p/blue-narchy
- for apllication https://pad.constantvzw.org/p/techotsukumogami
- There was no consensus nor vote that the hackerspace as a VZW should be involved and hence take the liability for this project. A *** internal discussion which highlights the necessary evil of an adminstrative body and the hackerspace as diy self organized autonomous community. The proposal is to reach out to hackbase vzw (and the hackerspace as board member approves this proposal)
- There is a consensus that we can be a partner in this project application.

techtue reboot[edit]
- we didn't do meetings any more (we restarted them the last 2 weeks)
- they where creative incubators
- people talked about what projects they work on... what questions they have
- resolves friction if needed
- they where creative incubators
- The actual meeting will happen at 8 PM -
- What is to be discussed
- running, dreamt-of, dormant projects
- new candidate members
- bigger points can be delegated to core meetings.
- IF you do a meeting take notes on the WIKI (so it is searchable)
core meetings: what, who, how? why dead?[edit]
- early on Saturday (lunchtime) first saterday every month 13:00
- include mini-Books-better-be-balanced
Next general assembly[edit]
Next General Assembly: 30 March 2019
Discussion[edit]
These points were brought in by a member who is currently not present to elaborate. Discussion is kept brief - anyone has any thoughts on this?
- what does it mean to be a member? is it just paying? should you have a voice (at a GA e.g.) even when you're not active in the space during the year?
- should a new member be able to join the board? or should you be (a reasonably) active member, for say a year?
- Good idea. Board members should be voted anyway.
- what about the hackerspace ethics / patterns? how to make them more visbile / create awareness? inspiration from Ghent's reboot? how to create community / ownership? transparency? inclusion?
- discuss earlier, we will start some workshops on this on tuesdays.
- public openess / promotion?
- we should have a discssion on introducing technology and who supports what, and who supports it.
- We will do a monthly infrastructure meeting (during the core meetin)
- results and "todo" will be presented and done during techtuesdays in smaller chunks.
TODO[edit]
- Check fire insurance: we're not paying two insurances.
- Wouter will ask Hugo if he is still okay with being a "voting member"
- byteweek event formalize on wiki (betz)
- betz will submit the statutes
- jurgen will plan 4 or 5 tuesdays (7 PM) to work on the HTH points.
