    • we have 27 people who pay 25€/month or more (at least once in 2017)
    • we have 1 person who pays social tarif
    • Wouter Simons will send a mail (to individuals in bcc) to people who paid €25 at least once in 2017 but not in okt/nov 2017.
    • The mail Michael proposed in the mailinglist was nicely written. This template could be used. (see mail 2017-11-01)
    • anything under 25 we will consider it a donation and we will send them at thank you mail
  • income: food / drinks
    • every month we have about 75-150 in profit fro the Fridge
  • costs: rent + elec
    • currently 650
    • 200 euro in charges (water and elec) 100 elec 100 "frais"
    • we have a new management company ... wouter will contact them and ask about their plans for the building)
  • costs: heating
    • about 100/month
  • cash flow
    • we are staying afloat yearly thanks to bytenight
    • we will try to activate the members who are not paying monthly at the moment
    • If this does not work we will revisit the membership fee in March.

Overview insurances[edit]

  • Damage to third parties
    • yes we have this
  • Fire insurance
    • yes we have this
  • we also have theft insurance ,
    • we need to make an inventory of the valuables

Overview activities[edit]

  • we have byte-night wich keeps us afloat financially
  • Tom tries to invite user groups to have meetups (e.g. Kotlin, ...) - others are encouraged to also invite open source user groups
  • There are a few events on the wiki... but less than in the (long time ago) past. Kudos to people organizing stuff

Mailing list management + etiquetteT[edit]

  • we have very interesting people on our open mailing list. We should keep it way cleaner.
  • What stuff should NOT be on the PUBLIC mailing list --> this should go to internalkitchen (if it's really internally) or 42 (if it's not HSBXL related)
  • We have a few lists
  • not only patterns also flowchart?
  • HSBXL = our "promo channel" -> everyone can be on it, very public. Promotion, practical information, ... about Hackerspace Brussels
  • 42 = Belgian hackerspaces -> everyone can be on it, very public. Promotion, events, questions ... about hacking in general
  • internalkitchen = internal stuff (finances, conflicts, notification of broken things, etc...)
    • there are technical issues with the "internal kitchen" mailing list
    • there is an issue with @hotmail and @live adresses
      • Askarel will fix the sender adress, this will already fix most of the issue
  • people are opting out of the space after reading the mailing list
  • every paying member will be automaticly subscribed to the internal kitchen mailing list
  • you can unsubscribe, and will be unsubscribed automatically after a few months if you stop being a paying member

Votes[edit]

Board: confirm / change[edit]

    • Ugo wants to leave due to time restrictions
    • Tom
    • Askarel
    • Vincent enters the board, replacing Ugo

Voting topics[edit]

  • Integrate https://github.com/0x20/HTH at hsbxl
    • we will organise some workshops on this, and try to make our own fork
    • Wouter will start these sessions on the weekend
    • somewhere around mid January
  • People living at the space
    • Tom explains that he stays here after TechTue because it's difficult to get home otherwise.
  • Silent moment in the space
    • Pro: it disturbs the social aspect of the meetings.
    • Con: it makes small milling jobs difficult
    • we will move the noisy things to the front of the room, then the back room will be more silent
      • People working on the restructuring of the space: Vincent, Askarel
      • Who should help: everyone who wants to be able to make noise at random moments, people who want silence in the space at random moments
      • Target: around Christmas we would like to have the space reordered
