Hi, I'm just a lurker with little electronics or hacking skills (though some diy). I've been wanting to pass since I first found out about you guys, but family life is keeping me busy tuesday nights. Soon, though!

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up rocket launches for Yuri's night friday 12th of April 2013.

Since I'm father two a two and half year old and an 9 month old, my personal interest is in launching water rockets.

However Yuri's night is turning into a big international thing with multiple events spanning a range from parties to stargazing to hacking to rocket launches.

Are you guys interested?

I'll be doing some browsing to see if I can come up with the relevant Belgian regulations, so far I've found this circulaire (in dutch):

http://www.flytovml.com/flytovml/Portals/0/Documents/gdf01n.pdf

Which says that it's illegal to fly a model aircraft powered by a rocket engine. :(

Then there's these guys:

Who seem to be launching rockets so maybe they can give more info on the regulations.

Bottle rockets

http://www.finkbuilt.com/blog/water-rocket-party/ has a great writeup of a bottle rocket party.

Planetarium

http://www.planetarium.be/nl/index.htm is apparently planning something with astronaut Frank de Winne;
