It could be nice to have access to

  • extra webcams
  • extra computers with OpenCV installed
  • a robot with actuators and remote control (e.g. Arduino based, NXT, ROS)
  • lasers or Kinect for depth perception
  • arduino + breadboard + 2 servos + USB cable

Web interface to local server

Let people try parts of OpenCV without having to install it

  • upload or link to
    • an image and see face detection
    • a set of images and have haartraining extract feature then upload test images
    • to a set of images and compare their distance

Project required time and skills

Each project should have a rough estimation of how difficult it is and how long it would require for somebody who is discovering OpenCV to do.
