Basically it's just a cool dude, overlayed with brainmachine (out of Mitch Altman Makers' shed) and FOSDEM brainz. (ok, i still need to update the white on black logo...)

I quickly outlined a picture of Norbert Wiener (1894-1964); He was a pure and applied mathematician; Pioneer in the study of stochastic and noise processes, contributing work relevant to electronic engineering, electronic communication, and control systems. Wiener is the founder of cybernetics, a field that formalizes the notion of feedback, with many implications for engineering, systems control, computer science, biology, philosophy, and the organization of society. In his biography (dark hero of the information age), they credit him creating the base foundation for Information Theory (generally credited to C. Shannon).

  • I thought he grew up in vienna, i was wrong, mistaken with H. von Foerstner.
